MULTIMEDIA
Are we nearly there yet? If you've got kids then
you've probably heard this once or twice before!
Long journeys can be very boring for children, and
therefore, very tedious for adults. Imagine driving
for hours without a peep from the back seat, sound
too good to be true - read on. With modern
technology the possibilities are vast - from
watching movies & cartoons to playing video games, a
car journey can be great fun rather than a
nightmare. Take a look below at the various options
available.
The most common solution is a combination of a DVD
player (or VCR), a monitor (display screen), and an
audio device such as headphones, so they can listen
privately in the back while you talk or enjoy the
radio up front. The choices range from simple
all-in-one packages to mulit-component systems.
Head rest screens - In systems that require separate
monitors, LCD screens are used, these vary in size
from 5 inch to 7 inch. These can be trimmed into the
back of the front seat headrests. Alternatively we
can replace the factory headrests with aftermarket
headrests with in-built DVD players enabling the
rear passengers to switch DVD’s with ease, the
headrests are trimmed so that the leather and grain
are matched to the specific vehicles interior.
Roof
Mounted Car DVD Players - Screens that fold down from
the roof are the other popular choice, some
incorporate interior lights so you can fit them in
place of your car's factory light. There are also
packages that feature DVD players built in, it is
also possible to transfer the sound through the
vehicles speakers as well as through the wireless
headphones.
Source - The source can be a DVD player, you could
plug in your digital camcorder and watch your home
movies, or even connect a games console such as a
Playstation or X-box. It is also possible to install
digital television.
Please call in or send us an email, we can tailor
the system to meet all your needs, and more
importantly your kids too, whether it be a Head rest
screen package or a roof mounted car DVD player.
